Petit Pli featured on Nike’s circularity workbook!
Circle, circle, circle - the circular economy to make the planet less dizzy !
We are incredibly happy to be featured in Nike's circularity workbook as an example of best practice for versatility in the fashion industry. The Workbook intends to overcome the mission impossible which is to create a common language for designers throughout the fashion industry! After all the planetary crises is a tragedy of the commons.
On 16th May 2019, Nike’s Chief Design Officer, John Hoke, launched Nike’s Circularity: Guiding the Future of Design at the 2019 Copenhagen Fashion Summit. Their guiding principles for the selection of brands were: material choices, cyclability, waste avoidance, disassembly, green chemistry, refurbishment, versatility, durability, circular packaging, new models.
The guide was a result of collaboration between University of Arts London (UAL)’s staff, students and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
Alongside Petit Pli other brands championing circularity in their products have been mentioned by Nike which includes: Patagonia, Fjallravenofficial , Christopher Raeburn and many more !
