Exploring Japan’s Iconic Octopus Playgrounds
This summer, creative duo Armand and Tyler travelled to Japan with their LittleHuman, Angelo. In their suitcase: our latest collaboration with Time & Space. Memphis‑inspired Versatile Suit designed to grow with every leap, climb and tumble.
Their journey led them to Tako-no-yama タコの山 (octopus mountain), one of Japan’s most iconic playgrounds. First built in Tokyo in the 1960s, these surreal slides have since spread across Japan, becoming landmarks of play, imagination and community.

From Memphis Movement to Foldwear Innovation
Against the backdrop of concrete tentacles and childhood laughter, Petit Pli’s Memphis‑inspired collection came alive. Bold shapes, playful colours and engineered pleats blended seamlessly into a day of discovery.
Our Versatile Collection is designed for real life: breathable, lightweight and splash‑proof. Made from recycled plastic bottles, the patented ripstop fabric, it’s soft against the skin yet resilient enough for climbing, crawling and clambering adventures.
Petit Pli’s garments are designed to grow up to 7 sizes, each pleat carries both durability and care by treading lightly on the planet.

Clothes That Grow: Our Latest Collaboration
Time & Space, the London based design atelier founded by Armand and Tyler, bridges art, furniture and architecture with a love for iconic 60s–80s aesthetics.
For London Fashion Week 2025, they joined Petit Pli to reinterpret the radical Memphis Movement, a design rebellion led by Ettore Sottsass in 1981 famed for bold geometry, vibrant colour and playful defiance, into adaptable foldwear to inspire the next generation.
Together, we’ve translated that spirit into adaptable foldwear: clothes that grow, inspire and invite the next generation to explore without limits.
